Hello guys, I own a Taurus PT99, 9mm. I can't reach my mag release on the left side without turning my hand on the grip. I tried to put it on the right side to use my trigger finger but now it's like the release is too close and I still have to move my hand a little to get the release. So, who else has the same "technical" problem and found a pistol that is easier to manipulate for that. Tks

HK's with the paddle type mag release, I can operate mine with my right hand middle finger (as long as I'm not using my middle finger for hand signals). Some people hate it, but now I'm used to it, I much prefer it, and my HK's are already my favorite guns to begin with

I'm assuming you might have smaller hands so another option would be something with adjustable grips like a Sig P22x with E2 grips or S&W M&P.

Though HK or Walther with paddle release is stellar.

Another vote for the HK-style paddle mag release. I wish all my pistols had it. The Gen 4 Glock has a fairly easy-to-reach release, too. I must say, though, that having the adjust the pistol a little to reach the "normal" type of release has never really struck me as that much of a hindrance.

Have the same problem, drives me nuts. What I have found is the HK or Walther are very nice. Also the extensions on a CZ 75 / 85, 1911 and Glock 17 19 and 26. Not bad. But the slickest set up yet was my XDM and it's ambi mag released. Just use your index finger. Works great. Or get a P7 with a heel release.

any, just use your other hand to activate it. If your gun is ambi you can also swap the sides and use your trigger finger.
