Hey, how you all doing?

First post here for me, im planning a trip to a friend who works on a farm outside Ottawa sometime during prime hunting season 2018. Will be staying on the farm for 3-4 weeks and im basicly here in search of locals who know their way around the bush. Im swedish myself and do quite a bit of hunting over here, but I learned the hard way when living in New Zealand that what I know does not necessarily apply on other continents.

Im not looking for professional guides, wining, dining and a massive trophy shot from the vehicle, what im looking for is coming along for the normal trips that you do every other weekend weather it be for deer or ducks or trout, or for more pest-like critters like coon, skunk, coyote, grey squirrel etc.

Any advise on when to go or who to contact will be greatly appreciated.

Take care!

Winchester just south of Ottawa. Time not decided yet, as Im not yet sure when prime hunting season in the area is.

For deer it's usually Nov for rifle/shotgun, start October for bow. Some bear near Smith Falls Perth area. Well turkey too in October.Mostly private land hunts in that area. Travel more north of the valley and you'll hit Crown Land hunts. Moose, bear, deer, grouse abound.

Though many a farmers in that area will gladly let people loose on the Yote problems.

Private Message me if you wanna chat some.

What type of farm does your friend work at? You may have a prime turkey or deer hunting spot already if the farmer allows it.
Turkey season runs Apr 25-May 31 and in my experience early season is better.
