I'm looking to remove the front sight and add a quad rail, I'm wondering what parts I will need. Gas block, rail length, etc. Thanks
You will need a rail, short gas block and some tools. Small punch / hammer to remove the front sight and AR tool to remove / install the barrel nut. You will also need a torque wrench to set the torque on the barrel nut when reinstalling.
I got everything from True North Arms (https://truenortharms.com)....awesome selection, great prices etc.

Couldn't you cut the FSP off and use the exiting gas block?
So, rail of my choice, short gas block and AR wrench. Do I need to remove the flash hider to get the sight off?
I'm looking to add a rail to my m&p sport but agree on keeping the front sight intact. Just not sure on what would be a good rail to get that fits without modifying the gun

This is an okay model that is MLok rather than Keymod, which I prefer. And it gives you a full top rail and two extra rails.
You can get them at Tenda or Al Flaherty's for about $80.

Just a heads up. My a2 sight was in there real good. Seems they put them in with a hydraulic press. I ended up having to cut the a2 sight with a Dremel to loosen the pins sufficiently to knock them out with a hammer and punch.
I am not sure If you are aware that those pins are tapered. If you are that is very surprising you couldn't get those pins out. I am hoping to take my front sight out hopefully I don't have to do any cutting.
