As for the pistol, i'm not a fan of front blacked out sights, but that's easily replaced. I think a rail would have been nice, just to test it out with more weight in the front to calm down the 10mm recoil a bit.
 
The feature set is just what I'm looking for in something affordable and Not Glock

I'm liking plain black sights these days. Dots are distracting and for some reason fibre optics wander for me - the tubes always look like they aren't centered on the blade when I'm aiming. I've been blacking them out with nail polish lately
 
I'd like this pistol.....for its bull barrel, adjustable sight primarily...,but in .45ACP. I like to shoot full power 45 with 230 grain heads and the weight of the bull barrel will help with sight re-acquisition/recoil management.

I had a Colt Combat Elite built similar to this with a Gold Cup Stainless Slide and a Barsto 5 inch bull barrel back in the late 80s. Loved it.

You haven't shot a 10mm with 200 grain Norma's then? Or a 180 grn going at 1350 fps?

The 45's are available but that's a sissy calibre. Step up to the big boys with the 10mm 200gr's....waiting....waiting........time to run

I went and ordered a RIA from the importer who cannot be named a couple weeks before this dropped, unfortunately. They have a good reputation, though I've had no luck with the other big Phillipine 1911 maker...

I think it'll be here in about a month.

I'm afraid I only bought 180gr Campros to try, though.

Baby steps.
