Hi everybody!

I try to re-organize my powder/primer storage and I need idea. Show what you do and give some details like what exactly you use, where you bought, the budget you've needed to set it up....

I am also considering a portable solution for the trip to the store and back home. To ensure constructive comments on that one instead of: "a plastic bag is more than enough"), the nearest store with decent price for reloading powder and primers is about 4hrs from home, I travel there few times a year so I try to pick up what I need when I am around so I can save on shipping.

Thanks,

Primers in a cabinet. Powder in a storage container under the work bench.

Why would you need a storage method to get it home?

Overnight sleep, especially when going to X-Reload location... I actually use a plastic toolbox with a lock for the powder, but looking for something better if one does have suggestion...

Just so you know, I do not make special trip just to fill up my powder/primer reserve, I just make it to stores whenever I pass by for business, otherwise I pay shipping ;)

A cardboard box is good enough for UPS, Fed-Ex and Canpar, so that's what I use. Unless the store puts it in a plastic bag. After it gets to my place, there's a nice Rubbermaid tote waiting for it in my garage.

I keep my 5 lbs of powder in a small plastic cooler! Primers in original packaging in cardboard box locked up in a different closet!
Another thought is try to keep away from flamables & not stored in same room as electrical panels/fuse boxes....

The regulations have changed...brass and wood are not required.

...yup

...mine was made b4 the changes and there's no need to retrofit...

...boards and brass...i mill my own lumber, plane, cut...

...ammo, powder, primers...each has their own home...

...lock and key

...leave me alone

I have a small reloading room with all my presses and components. All the components are in their original containers on a shelving unit. The door for that room is locked when I am not in it. Most of my finished ammo stays in there in ammo cans under the benches.
