Need more info, bolt and receiver serial numbers matching? Full length barrel with good Bore? Drill and tapped? Still have a magazine?

Too many variables price could range from $100 to $300

MkI or II?

For sure. If it's a MkI magazines are close to impossible to find. I've been looking for one of those for over six months all over the world without positive results.

Also manufacturer makes a difference and whether or not the receiver started life as a commercial offering or if it's a surplus military action. The commercial actions sometimes don't have any markings to indicate the manufacturer etc.

With a date of 1898, it is not a Lee Metford.
Sounds as if you have an action from a Magazine Lee Enfield. OK, no barrel or magazine. Is the bolt complete with dust cover? Is the long range sight present on the left side of the receiver? Are the necessary screws present? Condition? Finish?
A cut down sporter with a complete action might bring $150 - $200 or so. An action alone something less.

You should have posted photos earlier. It would have made it clear that you were talking about a rifle, not an action with bolt, as you indicated in post 1.
That isn't 1898. It is 1893. Mark II Magazine Lee Metford.
How long is the barrel? How long is the forend?
