** Your NEA102 build **

Uncalled for Vlad. Give the guy some respect he has served our military for 32 years. Trolls in general move on to a different thread please.

It's totally called for.... B!tch about the weight then guess what? the gun is out of ur class lol. And I don't play the military service sympathy game like that... Just because u wore out ur body in the military makes u think ur above the people who wore out their body building houses or paving roads??

I am sure if he had, he would have said "32 years laying tile" or "32 years building houses". The difference being he was willing to put his life at risk ( and get paid ####e money while doing so) so that you could continue to have the freedom you enjoy today. Learn some respect.

I just had a dream about unboxing a OD version. I was stuck between black and OD so I'm going to take that as a sign. Man it was sweet to hold it for those brief seconds even if it wasn't real.:HFU:

Well ill just empahise my original point instead of de railing the thread....if humping a 10lb gun around bothers u, there's a chance the 102 may not be the gun for u..... And the t3 lite would be a good option haha

I would build one that resembles the M110 as close as possible. Or the LMT MWS308 with the 308 Acog is pretty nice too. Only thing I wish is that the barrel but and indexing is compatible.

As a side note, you know how people say it is impossible to build a scaled down version in 223 that's NR?

What about scaling down the the NEA102 from 308 to 300 blackout? If everyone says 223 is an AR15, I assume they can do 300 blackout and see if that gets the NR. Maybe the customer can change the 223 barrels themselves then you get a 223 version.

The key is what you scale it down to... a 6.8 first? Or 7.62x39? Cuz if changing 308 to 223 is the problem then roll out a scaled down version in other calibers. Then allow user end to change barrel and bolt.

It's not the specific caliber that's the issue. They aren't going to do it. They do have a 9mm version though.

i tink im gonna stick to buying that M&P 10 i herd lots of problems in QC from nea im not one for talking risk in buying guns did it one time and well i sold it off to someone that fixed it but i rather have a long sharp stick then a unreliable gun

Please, tell us more about how you aren't going to buy one of these rifles in the NEA 102 build thread.

My logic is this:
If they scaled down from
308 to 22lr, I assume it's NR?
From 308 to 9mm, I assume NR?
From 308 to 45ACP, I assume NR?
What about 300 Blackout? If it's receiver is also NR, then I don't see any section in the law that automatically changes classification due to caliber change if one were to stick a 223 barrel into the above NR receivers.

I believe myself to be adequately intelligent. So I would definately enjoy an educated conversation. What are your thoughts about this route of pursuing 223?

There is the modern varmint, so it's possible. But I doubt they would show their hand until they had plans to do it and were certain they could pull it off.
