This i amazing

Wow, unreal. This is from a an article from when he won the Weatherby hunting and conservation award. "Between 1997 and 1998, Ken took twelve different species of wild sheep in a single twelve-month period, something that possibly no one else has ever done". Guy gets around!

30 second Google search says he started a pear orchard and expanded his acreage to create quite the agricultural business. One picture shows a grape vineyard, so he likely makes a good buck selling wine?

Must be nice. Most of us couldn't afford the taxidermist fees or firearms he has, let alone the costs of traveling the world to hunt these animals. Any daughters? :d

That is a lot of harvested meat, for one person,

A bit, but why assume for one person? Using that logic all meat harvested hunting is for one person. Between himself, family, guides, staff, and donations its not a whole lot. Lots of guy get a moose, a few deer, couple bears, maybe an elk and small game with a year. Besides sheep can be awesome! Reading a short blurb about him and his hunting career he sounds like a pretty solid outdoors man who has done a lot for the sport. Doesn't sound like a meat wasting type if that what your insinuating.

Well Doug, your gun collection might hold water to a comparison but your trophy room...not so much.

There are many people world wide that have significantly better gun collections and far more fantastic trophy rooms than I.
I think one or two of the most impressive I have seen pics of was Prince Palavi's and Rashid Jamsheed's his cousin, there were literally 100's upon 100's of animals and the largest collection of world record animals ever assembled..........truly awe inspiring and unmatchable today. Unfortunately they were all burned after the Shah and family were deposed and exiled.
I did not share my trophy room as "the ultimate" it just is what it is, and for those who appreciate this sort of thing, to view and enjoy along with me. My collection is the product of a much humbler budget only allowing one foray every year or two. The cost to hunt 12 sheep in 12 months would be approaching the 1/2 million mark or more and my budget has never even made it into six figures in a single year...........We are all limited by what we can afford and chose to prioritize towards our chosen hobbies.

Sorry to offend Doug, that sure wasn't my intension. Personally I am in aw of your collection, both guns and trophies and would love to have a close look at each. My remark was sort of "tongue in cheek" not meant to offend or belittle your accomplishments.

love the comments on that site. Bunch of tree huggin' hippies

And what is different from this site??? I take it you didn't you read Doug's thread about his trophy room.................lots of these "tree huggin hippies" are on this site as well...................really sad that they are on any gun/hunting site............... but they are on all of them!!

No offense taken f284, I too am in awe of some others trophy rooms, believe me. When I was younger I too had the drive and physique to accomplish such great feats of hunting, however I never had the funds. There are many remaining yet that I would have liked to have a crack at, however age and limited funds preclude the possibility I'm afraid. But make no mistake, my hunting days are not yet over, I still intend to fill a few vacancies in my line up..........Emperor Penguin and Leopard seal are high on my list, as is a South American Cappy Barra, Asiatic buff and a big Red Roo from Oz plus a couple other species. Locally a coastal grizzly and a big horn.............We'll have to see how it all works out I guess.
