Looking at a trigger and a bolt knob upgrade for my R700, its just a varmint SPS in a HS Precision stock. Is the Trigger Tech good value? Or should I be looking at other options? Also anyone have experience with the KRG clamp on bolt lift that Corlanes can bring in? I like the idea of not having to thread my bolt handle.

I have an R700 sps tactical and have both things you are looking at done to mine. the trigger tech trigger is fantastic, easy adjustments and the trigger breaks clean and consistent at 2lbs. As for the KRG bolt lift, I am very pleased with it and would recommend it, I have no regrets with either of these products.

I really like the options having a threaded handle to change it to any style that you want, I have short fingers so switching to an extended knob made it a lot easier to run the bolt and made the bolt lift a bit lighter effort. I've never used the KRG so can't comment on how well it works. If your decent with hand tools you could thread it yourself, I did my own just using a hacksaw, file and a die but you just can't get things to hot or you may run the risk of damaging the solder.

The trigger tech is a great bang for your buck. In my opinion it has a crisp feel and to me when set at the same trigger pull weight as other triggers it feels lighter to me.

I have trigger techs in both my 700s and a krg bolt lift on one. Triggers are worth it. I didn't even bother shooting the stock trigger in my second 700 after having run a trigger tech already. The krg is nice. Kinda ugly but fits well and allows easier bolt manipulation.

I use these rubber slip on bolt knobs on Mausers and 700. Cheap, no mods, not as ugly as the clamp on plastic ones.

You can kind of see it in this pic.
Well Photobucket sucks now...

I've got a Trigger Tech on one of my 700s and a KRG bolt lift on the other. TT is a great trigger, nice and crisp. The KRG bolt lift is better than nothing but I prefer the threaded on knob on my other 700.

TriggerTech makes a great product. I have one on my AR15. Where they really excel, however, is in their customer service. They go out of their way to ensure that every customer is happy. If you are not, they will do everything in their power to make you happy.

I only sent them the bolt, but I did pick up a 30 MOA steel rail from them too.

I'm in the process of sourcing a new stock for this rifle anyways, so nothing to bed yed.

My Tourbon bolt rubber knobs / balls/bouncy balls arrived in the mail a few days ago. Install was challenging since I had to clamp the bolt(s) into my vise as I dropped some water (sink) into the holes for some lubricant (temporary and it will dry out later).

Put one rubber ball on my CZ455 American bolt knob, now is cycles so smoothly and has a nice bolt throw for training purposes.

Then I put another on my Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle in .308 and it's a sweet addition. I have since ordered a couple more for future projects like my Winnie Model 70 Featherweight in .308.

It set me back $15.00 for the TWO of them on Amazon dot CA....

Cheers and thanks,

Barney
