I am looking to bring in the groups from my ruger SR22 from 1 1/2 inch down to .750 or less. (to put a number on it realistically under an inch would be awesome lol)

The trigger upgrade is going to happen, rear stock also. Not to sure what else will be swapped other then the barrel...

Will be used for fun plinking and tree rat blasting... It will have an optic and im going for a DMR style look with it.

I Was thinking either go with a

KIDD 20" Match bull barrel

KIDD Ultra light

Try the stock barrel and remove the barrel support.. (free float it as it is not currently)

Try some expensive match ammo. I have found large differences in my accuracy with my SR-22 depending on ammo. Not always the best stuff is most accurate either. Ammo choice in 22s has a big effect on accuracy.

Oh yah, forgot to mention been down that road. PLENTLY of Midas +, Center X and Eley (match, club, HV) all kicking around... So far the rifle is consistently grouping .700 up to 1 1/2 inch... With various match ammo lol...

Guna get some blazer I bet it will shoot the best lmao

The problem with "accuritizing" any semi is a basic bolt will usually shoot better easily. The elitists call it polishing a turd. It's fun to tinker, but an Axis will usually outshoot Springfield.

Yea I have owned many Cz's and have an anschutz also.

This is just a fun gun to tinker with. If it even gets close to 1/2 inch at 50 id be beyond happy. Just looking for under an inch.

I wouldn't recommend removing the barrel support. I took mine out once and after reassembly I noticed that the entire assembly would tilt forward and down due to the amount of forward weight. You could see the movement at the rear of the top rail cover where it meets the receiver portion of the chassis. As soon as I saw that I put the barrel support back in.

Your poll needs a None of the above catagory :)
I would not spend a lot of time and money trying to make the SR-22 into a 1/2" at 50 yd rifle. It is really just supposed to be a fun plinker. If you want to change the barrel I would get a Dlask 12 1/2" SR-22 barrel. It is slightly more accurate than the stock barrel and way more fun:

That kinda odd how inaccurate yours is. I have a SR22 also and I have no issues getting a 3/4"ish group with bulk federal ammo 525 pack. That's with a cheap tasco scope too.

That looks like a riot ! I know its ment to be a cheap plinker but it would be fun to thwack some tree rats with it also if so inclined. Thats the only reason I really want to make it a bit more accurate.

Welcome to 22lr. No two rifles are the same hahaha.

Thats a common concern ive seen looking it up, thus why im considering the ulta light.
