Hi, i just bought a Ruger Mk 11 Blued 10 inch heavy barrel .22 pistol, that came from a private collection. I will post pictures once it arrives, hopefully in the next week.

It was appraised as NRA Excellent rating, and spotless.

I am somewhat familiar with .22 pistols, having owned a few, but this 10 inch model is new to me.

I would like to hear from anyone who has personal experience with the 10 inch Mk 11 please.

Looking forward to your feedback ! Thanks

Thank you, ..... assuming the gun has only been test fired..any recommendations for ammo? Break in with hv? Cci or for ongoing shooting?
Out of curiosity, do you know twist rate for 10" barrel?

Laser accurate :) have shot many rounds of hx and sv rounds. Gun works flawlessly as a MKII should. Blued is a Km10. Stainless is KMK10
Currently American Eagle 5022 works well as does SK and Laupa ammunition. Avoid blazer and winchester ammo unless you like cleaning.

The ROT is 1:14.5 if I recall. These guns work best with 40gn projectiles. Anything lighter ans they seem to open up significantly.

Barrels were all laser aligned from factory (like the govt target models) and if you do your part from the bench, will put 10 rounds into a 7-8mm hole at 12m.

Welcome to the 10" club. The accuracy these offer is amazing, if you are an accuracy buff :)

They are a fairly rare bird to be honest. Those who know what they are covet them :). I have paid 7-1000 for the KMK10 SS and 4-700 for the blued KM10

Chuckhawks has a good review. Bte the front sights are often bent looking. That is the only flaw that can be addressed by ordering a new feont sight or having it straightened by a machine shop and properly blanked.

The only flaw in a flawless package

My personal preference has always been for nice bluing, so I didn't buy the ss one from the same collection (snapped up pretty quick.... for $600... spotless also I understand). I should receive more soon and will post some pics . Thanks for the tip on the front sight.

Forgot to ask..... extra magazines.... I am always inclined towards oem, but what are your feelings on fit and function on something like the mec gar replacements. There is pretty good availability of the Ruger 90046 oem ones I am finding.

All my MKII have the sight with the bend in it... irritating. I have used a lapping stone, and then reblued mine to true them up. The Blued guns are every bit as accurate as the SS guns. I have not seen a difference when shooting either or vice versa

As far as mags, I only have experience with OEM. So I have no opinion on the MEC mags.

THANKS...I have found the oem mags for $30 each and ordered the last three in stock. Most places had them for anywhere from $30 to $43 each.
