Thanks Rob, he would of been something else in a year or two, but hounds are known in the area and the ol bloke spotlights his boundry a lot! and even into the forest LOL hes a good guy so good on him, but if its big he shoots it, maybe its one he left, or maybe he just hadn't seen it yet haha
 
Nice stag .how do thy taste. Do you fellows us atv to retrieve animals from the hills or you have to backpack them out

Hey Dutch, Yeah they are good for the Table, andits only in recent times majority of population has realised this, a lot used to say its very Gamey and whatever, once cooked right or in the right way it is good stuff... hang for typically 7-10 days!
we are all still in the "if its rutty, don't eat it" mindset though, the outside stink puts everyone off and proberly fair call, no doubt when in velvet (fatty) or the Hinds are always good...

we typically dog food the stags.

Oh no ATVs in here, we have to pack them out unless you have a vehicle track close by - down hill, but the bush is too thick an steep etc to drive ATVs in there!
