I have been looking at the receiver for a while now. It looks to be 2 or 3 inches shorter the rear locking pin is over the safety I don't think the idiots at the lab could posably ducktape an AR upper to it and say.........

lets not call people idiots, you wont make positive change, little things make a difference

yea, needs an 18.5" tube to be non. Maybe. it also might need a non collapsible stock at that point.

I do totally like it tho, especially if it could use Beretta 92 mags instead.

IF Mr Wolverine does a deal with Manufacture/Distributor to build for Canadian market I think it will fly. The receiver is considerably different an a 18.5 bbl. is to easy!

Proprietary receivers that aren't compatable with AR's make it a possibility for NR with the right barrel, but the lab doesn't need much to make it restricted .

Unlikely to need a non-telescoping stock. You only need 26" overall length to avoid the restricted status with a folding or telescoping stock, which is only 7.5 more inches once you have that 18.5 inch bbl on there. With that fixed buffer tube on there, you're sure to have at least 7.5 inches of length behind the barrel.

Since it's definitely incompatible with any AR upper or lower, this rifle SHOULD be non restricted with an 18.5 inch barrel fitted. If the modern varmint is, this absolutely should be, but then again, this is Canada...

Clearly is an AR 15 variant ...

Will be restricted no matter the bbl length.

NOT an AR variant,AR upper wont go on,and trigger group issues, talked to a friend at the lab about this one, because the price looks pretty good, asked me to send him the info,to find out about importing one,
