Marstar has been good with me as well, I just got a pietta revolver from them on the Father's Day sale they had.
I had a couple small issues with some orders from them ( forgot to send a couple pieces I ordered) but everything was straightened out with an e mail or a phone call.
I wouldn't hesitate to deal with them but some people really got a hate on for them over those t2 garands last year
I do believe everyone got there money back from that gong show. But there's lots who still hold a grudge

There could be a few people not online that bought them and either put them away or are shooting them .

Can someone please post a picture of the chamber on theirs? I got mine in the mail today and it seems off. Could just be me as this is my 1st m14 clone....also does not look like the pics I see on Google when I searched m305 chamber pics.

I can't say that I have purchased a lot of items from Marstar but the things that I did buy were "Steal of a deal" New surplus M2 50 BMG barrels for $175 each in beautiful condition and 1000 .50 cal surplus bullets shipped cheap to my door for around 40 cents each (very cheap shipping rates). Where else are you going to find that kind of product for that price. They bring in items that you just do not see for sale anywhere else in Canada. I am really tempted to buy one of those 9m beretta 92's that they have on right now for cheap. I visit their website often and wiil continue to feed them my money. We are lucky Canadians (with our current government) to have them offering the things they do. You have my vote Marstar.

You obviously didn't get caught up in it or bought one of the 'T2s' if you are still doing business with them.

For what it's worth, I had good dealings with Marstar before that mess too.
I had roughly $2200 tied up with Visa over just one rifle for months.
I spent more time trying to resolve it than the rifle was worth - had I spent the time at work instead of negotiating a return and refund with Marstar. At the end of it I did get John's 'iron fisting' guarantee and a refund which was more or less in full, but I couldn't help notice my account and user ID was 'flagged' in that process.

No I didn't buy one of those t2 garands although I almost did!
Even if I did I wouldn't be worried as the iron clad warranty always worked well for any issues I had previously
I wonder if the people who got flagged by john were those who were causing a big stink on the t2 topic?

Doing returns with any company ( marstar included) is more of an inconvenience then anything. Having to ship stuff back sucks and things do take time but I guess it's better then ending up with unusable product and loss of $$$

They haven't actually screwed me yet so I have no reason to not do business with them. Only time will tell though!

No and no. First of all John would have no connection between a CGN user name and your real name.
2nd he was adamant right up to the end these rifles were all genuine T2 and SAFE TO SHOOT. He was pissy because he got caught, and because they were mass returned, not a simple one off POS return. He did everything he could not to pay return shipping, some guys that had bought 3 would have been looking at eating $450+.
If it wasn't for the pressure put on them by members here they would have never reversed policy on that.
So go ahead and support them, they give zero ####s about you. And one day you will find that out.

for the record there isn't one company in the world who does.

hunterhenderson looking at those pictures i've gotta ask do these socoms take stripper clips? it sort of looks like they will in the photos.

Really? I can name half a dozen CGN dealers alone that I've dealt with that have gone above and beyond on orders to make sure I'm a repeat customer. ####star on the other hand made sure to be complete dicks AFTER I had already spent a few thousand $$ there and they ####ed up on an order.
Not to mention the many other debacles John would get into on here when they ####ed something up... there was at least 3 blatant attempts to mislead customers on products that were not what they claimed them to be.
Some people have short memories for these things, others tend to look the other way when it doesn't involve them personally. There are lots however that will never spend another dime there.

There is a difference between giving a crap and going "above and beyond" to rape your wallet. Sounds like someone is a little butt sore about a dealing or two they had with a certain company and wants everyone else to be just as sore, wants their pound of flesh from no one else ever shopping there. The thing is most people are burnt from the T2 trouble but you know what that was eventually made right, so suck it up.

now back on topic.
those socoms look pretty awesome in the walnut furniture.

Eventually you will get burnt by them too, and come crying back here to tell the story.
But it will get locked, because they are a disgraced dealer that got the boot from CGN, and you were foolish enough to keep giving them money despite their history.
Good luck.

Well said.

I was unimpressed by Marstar's commitment to its customer, was chastised by John and then his fanboys. There were plenty of other places that would take my money, and actually appreciated my business.

Marstar's departure from CGN was long overdue.

It's one thing to get a defective batch of norinco guns and have people return them. It's a totally different matter to blatantly scam people. Remember he's the moron who started the t2 sale with "genuine, not garbage put togethers like other garands" when in fact they not only were cobbled together from bin parts but were also in the process made totally unsafe to fire.

Johns response to all that? Totally ignore all the pictures and evidence from experts over dozens of pages and go on personal attacks of random people posting. They were not sold as part bin garands, but very rare, ORIGINAL, collector T2s. Which none of it was true is bad enough, but to then see the butcher job on the locking lugs makes it criminal. The rifles have failed ALL minimal locking engagement surface contact area, not to mention the destruction of the hardened surface layer needed for safe operation.

a good company would have said " holy crap guys, we've been had....please return all rifles back to us...."

John decided to double down.

#### him, and #### anyone else who decides to support a known scammer.

"Oh but he took all the rifles back...." You think any of the "good" things John did would have happened if it wasn't for CGN community?

By your profile you joined CGN after the scumbag got booted off of this site for lying, misleading, and trying to screw the patrons of this awesome site.

I appreciate you enjoy your dealings with them, but don't enthusiastically promote then, they deserve all the bad publicity they get. And John, is a douchebag that deserves the Karma he gets. I wouldn't waste a cup of Cold P!SS ON JIM IF HE WAS IN FIRE AND THAT WAS ALL THAT COULD SAVE HIM..

That said, I had great dealings with him myself, but he tried to screw people and wouldn't budge until he was taken to task by a bunch of people here on this site, that I cannot condone or support.

One of the main reasons I use marstar is because no one else in Canada has parts for my mg 34/ m37 browning. If hitzy or any of the other marstar haters can enlighten me on where to buy my parts from it would be much appreciated.
No one in the states will ship machine gun parts here, once in a while a guy can get lucky on e bay or gunbroker but that's it and the parts selection is pretty slim

Be different if all I had was tacticool junk with lasers and flashlights as that can be had anywhere
