Can't belive I'm getting into this now...9mm

I have one but it's a piece of junk.

Ok.... what is it?

I have been loading 147gn Cactus Plains Hard Cast with great success in all of my 9's. Will be switching to my own cast 125s once my last K of Cactus are exhausted. Initial testing with the same load didn't reveal any great difference between 147s and 125s.

Wolf 135 reloaded ammo has shot well for me to.

It's a llama...Nuff said

Hey, I had a LLAMA 9mm. It ran and shot well enough. Extra mags, grips and parts were unobtainable, so I abandoned it.

If you're going to load 9mm, consider getting a Lee factory crimping/resizing die and resize all your reloads through it as a final step.

Something to be aware of is this die can swage down the bullet diameter, resulting in an undersized bullet and subsequent leading. Probably won't be an issue with the 9mm unless the bore of whatever is quite large, but it's good to keep in mind the limitations.

The last little bit I've been using pc DRG hard cast in 124gr 9mm in my sig 226. Better results than copper jacket for me. I do resize all the pills after pc.

Lee 125 two cavity ordered

Let me know when you start moulding these, I will buy some off you. I sold all 3 of my 9mm handguns to people on this site and I have all kinds of brass left and the dies to reload them. See, if I have bunch of loaded ammo then I would need to buy something to shoot it with

I used Lee TL mold for a while, but since I mostly use 147 gr in CZs, I just got 147 gr HP/FN NOE mold in brass. ;) Haven't had a chance to try it yet, but HP part is mostly for ease of holding bullets while powder coating with electrostatic gun. If this combination works fine in Shadow, I might move completely from CMJ bullets to PC for IPSC ammo.

I wore out a Lee 6 cavity 9mm 125 grain round nose mold, #90457. Great Bullets, not a bevel base but...
I also tried the Lee 6 cavity 120 grain TC mold, #90387, with mixed results. About 15% won't stabilize and tumble.

Powder coating my 9mms & 158g SWCs means I can skip the lube stage. You have to size no matter what but goodbye messy lube..
ETA on the next batch Y?

I have been busy but next batch is on my to-do list.

I'm sure you don't have to pay for them

Crap. Now I have to buy a hollow point mold.

I use the Lee 358-125-RF. Sized to .356 for 9mm. Feeds and shoots pretty well but I've never tried to get match accuracy from it.

I use the 358-125-TC. Comes out @ 130gr. Works excellent for me. Sizing at .356" or .357" for 9mm.
More accuracy than me in it.

Started with a 2 cavity and since gone to 6 cavity, so if anyone is looking for a 2 cavity....
