My 22 shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards/meters all day! Really? Prove it!

Today was my second trip out with my 1962 Walther KKM target rifle that I purchased from Yodave.
I have to admit that my first trip out with it was a struggle trying to get it to group consistantly.I also found that my go to ammo center X was not doing well in the KKM.Lucky that I had a bunch of ammo on hand as I was testing some of it in my 1813.I had half a box of RWS pistol match and a box of RWS50.I got the best results with the pistol match. So yesterday off I went to LGS and picked up 3 boxes of pistol match and one of pistol target.
I went out this afternoon in the hot windy weather and my first target with the RWS pistol target was good enough for the challenge.I did manage a personal best .132 today with the pistol match, wish I could do that every day.
I also want to Thank Grauhanen AKA Glenn for his tips on holding this rifle firm as I was going nowhere fast with my usual technique.

Rifle is a Walther KKM 1962 Target ,trigger is 2oz
Scope is a Hawke Vantage 6-24x44 warne rings
Shot off my homemade bench with a Rock BR and rear leather bag
Ammo was RWS Pistol Target
Distance was 52yds 33c with wind

Group sizes are .370/.439/.496/.388/.368
Average group size is .412

Here is the 3 targets I shot today with the top one I am submitting for the challenge.

Nice shooting. I added you to the successful list.

Rifle: CZ 455 vpt, sightron s3 10 - 50 x 60 ammo sk standard plus. I do plan on beating these numbers just wanted to get it in the challenge. I have seen very small groups with this rifle so far but 5 in a row has been challenging. Usually one flyer gets me.

Group sizes: .298, .328, .34, .358, .454. Average. 355.

Realized after I calculated average that my .674 measurement actually measures. .664 on calipers so .444 center to center but figured I would leave it the way it was. Changes average by .002.
Lets just chalk it up as a short case of dyslexia. lol I do have a new born son now and do not get much sleep!

This morning offered the most ideal rimfire shooting conditions I have seen in a long while, absolutely no wind, and overcast.
So I grabbed 3 of my heavies and headed out to the range. I believe 2 of them have made the ¼" challenge.
Did not bring the Suhl out, since I have the scope off it right now. I will see if Imgur will co-operate.
Here is my 40X Remington, with a 24X Weaver and 1/8 minute dot. Ammo: Eley Match EPS [Black Box]
Group sizes are: .106", .202", .122", .131", .118"....
average: .1358" [Finally beat manitou's previous best average, lol.]

Nice! That re-crown has sure served you well.

Ya best money spent so far on the rifle. Next I plan on getting a proper front rest instead of a bipod which should help quite a bit and find some match eps again that this rifle really seemed to like. It is nice to get pretty good results with sk standard though. $7 a box is much better then $20

Nice shooting. I added you to the list.

This post isn't going to make me any friends. While Eagleye has posted 3 amazing challenge attempts, including what would have been a new best average, and 2 honourable mentions for all 5 groups being under 1/4" I can not accept his targets as a successful attempt due to the requirements of the challenge. It is clearly stated, and discussed numerous times that there must not be any other holes on the target. All 3 of his attempts have other holes on the targets.

Copied from the requirements.

Ok. Here it is. The challenge is to shoot 5 five shot groups with a 22lr at 50 yards/meters under 1/2"

Here are the requirements for the challenge:

You must use a 22 lr

There is no restriction on action type or cost of the firearm

You may use any 22lr ammo you wish

You must shoot five 5 shot groups at 50 yards/meters

All 5 groups must be under 1/2"

All 5 groups must be on the same paper

There cannot be any other groups on your "official" target

There cannot be anything on your target that could be hiding any group or bullet hole that is not part of your "official" attempt

All the attempts at the challenge must have been shot after the challenge was issued

I am appealing this :) Tell me why a "sighter" target would not be allowed? No one in any real competition will not use a sighter. I had to adjust a couple of those scopes, and used the sighter to do so.
Theses are obviously not groups, but individual shots an an entirely different target, plainly marked as a sighter They should in no way detract from the 5 clean groups. Dave.

Come on now, that whining is not very appealing, lol.
