Were Romanian Tokarev TT pistols ever imported in numbers?

Just curious - was there ever an import of Romanian TT's into Canada? Or are we stuck with importing once from the USA with that goofy safety add-on?

I have one. No goofy safety or import marks. I found on EE in 2012 for 250$ shipped. I am Romanian and I was looking for years to find one.
 
Did the seller know it was romanian?

I could just import one, but it would be over $600 by the time I have it here, and it would be import marked and have the safety - I'd spend another $200 having it weld repaired and re-blued to make it presentable again.

The seller did not know. He was guessing that is bulgarian. Bulgaria never manufactured Tokarev.
 
Nice, maybe when Corwin Arms gets into restricted firearms he can find some! I really like the unissued Polish tt33, they are so simple and look awesome!
