To start off, i'm new to this site and i hope this is posted in the right section.

So! i want to buy myself a precision rifle and i'm hovering between the Remington 700 SA in .308 rem with a MDT Tac21 chassis and the savage 10ba stealth.

Please consider that if i buy the Remington, i would use it a bit before adding the chassis to it

Thank you

First off I am a fan of the savage. Some things to consider is the trigger. The savage has the accutrigger which is an excellent factory trigger imho. Some people hate it. The savage comes in an good chassis vs the Remington needing to buy one. I would put my money in the savage.

Thanks! i'll go with the savage because of what you say and I just realised that the MDT tac21 doesnt come with a stock and grip in the 700$ price tag. It would end up costing me something like 400$ than the savage.

Always happy to give my opinion. Just to maybe reinforce your thoughts I will tell you the Ontario Rifle Association uses savage 12 in 223 for their introduction days. Good stock rifles from the factory.
