You did a switcharoo or didn't understand the post. To your point, you thought wrong. Yes I buy many things online sight unseen not too unlike the pre-order of the T81. The rifle will get here when it gets here, I'm not all that concerned about it. Photos of the units coming off the line won't change that and, hope you're sitting down, I don't care what the serial # is.
Whatever. I call BS. Nobody buys commonly available applicances without knowing the model, color, and features. Claim otherwise all you want, it rings hollow.
And nobody has seen what the TI guns will look like. They posted a pic of the RCMP lab prototype but have stated the production guns will not look like that, so nobody knows if it will be blued or parked, though TI asked for blued. No idea what the furniture will look like (color and finish wise), no idea if it has the grenade launcher or not, etc.
It doesn't help that TI has been tight-lipped about any detail surrounding the rifle itself, how it's configured, when it will be here, updating the ETA, or anything else other than a grainy photo of a few boxes. I've gotten more information out of a broken hard drive than I have out of TI about this potential import. It's maddening.
How many people thought the WR762 rifle would have a big Canadian flag and "WESTRIFLE" engraved in 1cm high letters and filled with white paint all down the left side of the receiver? As soon as I saw that, I thanked my lucky stars I had not pre-ordered one.
Or how many ppl thought the Type 97 would look like a real Type 95 with a proper milspec lower, adjustable sights, etc. only to find out it was cosmetically like a Type 95, but was a much cheaper and lower quality gun than the real deal?
YMMV. I remain cautious until I have reason not to be.

I've seen photos of the rifle and similar rifles and have a good idea what it's going to look like just like buying stuff online. You do understand you can cancel your pre-order? Sounds to me like pre-orders just aren't your thing. Just wait till they land in Canada and the furniture gets installed and make a decision. I doubt I'll be selling mine though.
I want to like the gun, believe me I do. It may be great and probably will be, but why does TI need to have such poor customer relations along the way?
They are like the Marstar of cool new rifles. Which is not good.
This is how I feel. It actually makes me sort of sad and disappointed.
I have no issues with their Customer service. They stated when they would give updates and have kept those promises and emailed directly with a relatively recent update. It seems the more they say on this forum the more people seem to expect and complain and I suspect they've picked up on that.
A lot of knotted up panties in here.... I have no issues with TI. They have provided updates along the way when new info became available to them, they rescheduled and said production would happen in July, and now have stated inspection went well along with a pic of the shipment. I'm not sure what more people want, thats pretty much what I 100% expect with a preorder.

Lol...they said they couldn't take pics in the factory...it's a military small arms factory...take time to move 1000 rifles and then pick and edit the photos...plus the shipment would have had to leave the factory before they could take pictures...they said all this...
I read the same update and understood they could not take pics of the assembly line, but that they DID take pics of the boxes AND the product. They promised they would imminently release pics of the product, but imminent means different things to different people.
So basically they had time to post photos of boxes, but not the photos they took of actual examples of the rifle. Why?
To me, it seems like their priority is not their customers' priority. I would not run my business like they do, but some here will defend them no matter what. I live for customers like that, it lets me work less hard than I otherwise would.
This is why competition is a good thing. Someone needs to step up and import a competing batch.

Why are they doing this to me, are the boxes empty, I wouldn't do this, are they muddy girl camo'd, what's going on, where are they, OMG I think the box says t50, what's that, are particle beam rifles non-restricted, I'm so confused.

At this point you have to think of the pre-order as a gamble. Don't spend your money if your afraid to lose $1000 its that simple. TI has been up front when they have the information. For all you know they could have been trying to post it but can't due to the Chinese internet censors. Also I believe the rifle has already been given a NR status from the Firearms Lab.
you're losing it man, they didn't say they had pics of the rifles at all...you're reading what you want to hear, they're not doing anything shady, settle down...I'm just patient...I'm not defending them, I'm trying to bring you back down to earth, they said they will post pics, they will post pics...if they haven't by Friday then you can whine...
