Had 500$ burning a hole in my pocket.... so I picked up a GSG-15 (in black) from cabelas. Haven't gotten any trigger time on it yet so I'm not sure how she shoots. Going to run a couple patches through it tomorrow after work and take out the packing oil. Then I will let you know how it shoots after I get out this weekend!

Anyone else have one?

...Not sure how to sneak it past the wife yet though haha

I bought mine back when these were first released, it's been lots of fun to shoot. Haven't shot it yet since I put this new scope on it though, I'm waiting for the spare mags I ordered to arrive. (Stay away from Remington ammo these don't like it.)

Most of the reviews I've read have been fairly positive considering its a semi 22lr. And not a 10/22. That's a nice rifle. I think I'm going AFG on mine too.

I would have loved to grab a SR-22 but won't buy one until the 10/22 mag issue is sorted.

Ive read the Remington ammo doesn't work so well. Hopefully my federal 32g value pack shoots OK though. Going to grab some CCI on the next ammo run.

Nice! I had some old Tippman paintball guns use those style pins. I should still have some kicking arround. If they fit that will be sweet and I'll let you know. I'm wondering if I should rip it down and give it a good cleaning or if a couple patches down the barrel will be good enough?

Have you tested what sort of groups you can get yet with that scope?

No like I said I haven't fired it yet since putting the scope on. I was hoping my spare mags would arrive today and I could get it dialed in over the weekend but it looks like that didn't happen, so next week it is then. With the red dot I had on it before it seemed to be pretty decent so I have high hopes for accuracy with the scope.

My ISSC MK22 absolutely loves eating CCI Standard velocity, Ar/tactical, and federal Auto Match. Just fired 300 rounds today, two failures to fire, faulty ammo.

Got the gun out to the bush today and put about 400 rounds through. Gun shot awesome! More accurate than expected too! 250 Federal value pack and about 150 cci mini mags. I found the federal ran better than the mini-mags. But both ran really well in this gun. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase.

Glad to hear you had a good time out in the bush. Did you put any type of optic on it yet or were you just messing around with the flip up sights?

My ISSC MK22 eats everything and makes 1 ragged hole at 30 yards with everything except golden bullet & wildcats which, spread out a bit. I put a 1-4 optic on it, & it is easily the best semi auto .22 I've used. The 10/22 is worried I won't feed it anymore. I told it to get some real non prohibited mags & maybe it could have some golden bullet... maybe.

Quick GSG/ISSC Scar question if I may: is it easy to put a bipod on the lower rail or is the mag too long for this (other than using a very long leg bipod)?

I don't think it would be an issue. In fact if you look at the pics of the gsg you will see on the faux gas block on the lower side is a weaver rail. It is steel and very sturdy (unlike the plastic lower rail on the receiver.) And I think it's entire purpose is for a bipod.

That said I don't know how much you need one. It's a pretty accurate gun even at shoulder, standing.

It is easy. The little rail SigSauce spoke of is where I put mine when I'm in that kind of mood. I like the quick detach option.

I'd recommend at least a 7.9" centre height if you're mounting a bipod onto the lower rail and not the "gas block" rail. Here's mine with a cheap UTG 6.1" - 7.9" centre height. I have to extend the legs all the way to clear the magazine

As soon as i sort out tinpic I'll upload the image of it
