Best NR rifle

I have tested the POI shift on a Black Special.

When I load the bipod, it brings my POI almost exactly 1 MOA up.

There are pros and cons with everything.

If you get a good deal , I believe it's one of the best NR platforms.

Many Americans can only dream of a 100% Swiss made PE90.

It's very easy to mount a scope on the flat top version.

I couldn't fit the 75gr AMAX in a AR, but my 1/7 Black Special loves them.

That is a beautiful piece of kit. A guy can only dream ...

-t97,(had one) to me the HORRIBLE ergos ( safety at the back and impossible mag release ) were bad enough, without concidering that there is zero protection for an out of battery explosion in this bullpup, plus due to the mag redesign fts are common.

IIRC, someone here had one (out of battery explosion) with their T97, and even posted pics, and while most people were reaming he guy on bad loads, some people who knew a thing or two pointed out the fact that the rifle protected the shooter much better than most AR's have in the past.

Don't know if this was brought up in this thread. I didn't read all 15 pages because of my ADD.. ;)

Why the Tavor over X95. Just asking

Purely cosmetic and personal preference.

Unfortunately I haven't tried a T97, yet. I've heard that being a lefty that values my teeth, it is not the gun for me. Might just be rumours though, as I ran a Tavor with right side ejection no problem.

Not a rumor. It's a brass cannon, and is definitely not lefty friendly. I only know two left handed shooters, and both of them got bleeding lips when shooting mine. One was lucky his eye protection deflected a case.

I don't have any experience with this rifle, but it should definitely be at the top of the list for .223 NR rifles here. Price is decent and reliability, accuracy should be there. I think it's just the parts availability that sucks. Without the AR magwell conversion, the oem mags are stupid expensive

OEM mags are more expensive than a STANAG pattern magazine but they are higher quality and will last much longer, same goes for the mags for the Swiss Arms. It's not like they are unaffordable though and once you have five to ten of them how many more do you really need.

Not trying a T97 is like not trying a Lada. you're not missing anything... lol...

I've only shot one of them and it was ok and has a very interesting recoil impulse but I just can't justify spending over $1000 on a rifle made in China with no QC, no parts support and no warranty.

You can pick up a use Swiss Arms for around $3000, that's about the price of two T97 FTU rifles and in my opinion would be like comparing a Porsche to a KIA, completely worth the extra money. If you don't waste your money on having a few cheap junk rifles a person can easily afford one.

I prefer the Swiss Arms OEM mags to AR / STANAG magazines.

Rock solid lockup. No wobble. You can load the rounds longer, that's very important to me. I don't shoot anything under 75gr. You can couple the mags too.

I'm keeping the original barrel on for another 25, 000 rounds.

Hopefully it will look like this soon.

We are fortunate to have all these options on the table.

Good problem to have!

Well if everyone is posting pictures, I'm getting in on the fun. XCR, Modern Varmint, and Swiss. Also an MPX for some added fun. And yes, I usually have the bayonet fixed on my Swiss

Apparently it is upside down. I might get around to fixing that.

The ACR is still tops. Completely ambidextrous out-of-the-box, convertible to left-hand in 10 seconds, Geissele trigger standard, both pistol grip and stock storage, full top rail, folding/collapsible stock with integrated cheek riser and last but not least, a quick-change barrel system that allows you to swap out calibers in under 30 seconds (300 Blackout) to 2 minutes (6.8SPC, etc. that requires a bolt change). Variable gas settings with a piston setup ensures it runs clean.

AR15s will never become non-restricted, Swiss arms are overpriced and just waiting for another ban and the XCR isn't a military-grade firearm. The Tavor/X95 is great, but it is a major PITA/additional cost to switch over to left-hand and upgrade the trigger/pack to a Geissele.

I have shot my X95 today, and i am no to excited, the thing is an easy 2 MOA at best, i will work a load for it but my confidence is not to high... JP.
