first off I read about guns but don't
spend alot of time handling them so its prob a newb question.

when on forums and google in general i don't see alot about browning especially the x bolt.
the most info i find on youtube is from browning or sponsored by them.
they look like well built guns and are apparently accurate.

sako even comes up more often so i dont think its price related.

anyway something i don't know??
im just curious. thanks.

Since Most people only post #####ey comments and not compliments maybe its a good sign the interwebs are quiet on Browning. I own quite a few and like them all. levers bolts and semis they have all been good to me

They're a good gun with nothing wrong with them. They can't build the Hell's Canyon speed fast enough as they're sold out before they even hit the shelves. Not sure what people see in the Hell's Canyon Speed as I think it looks terrible but then again a lot of people think the bell bottom grip on my CZ 550 looks terrible but I think it looks great.

I like Browning and own and owned several. My only complaint of late is a T-Bolt that has a rather heavy trigger pull. Within spec according to Browning but too heavy for my liking. Other than that, I like the rifle.

The only complaint I can think of is that there are very few options for trigger upgrades. Don't get me wrong the trigger is fine but if you're looking for something like a set trigger you're out of luck. The rifles are very nice, shoot well, they're accurate. All round good rifle. Mine has never let me down.

Nothing wrong with a Browning Firearm.
Good value for the money and pretty much available all over Canada.
Nope, can not do much in the way of modifying them.
Clean them, shoot them and cut your game tags.

T'uther than them lawyer'in triggerzs, they izz mighty fine.
Wish thet thar lawyer would tern tuh maggits.
I call them lawyer triggers as well. I just picked up a x-bolt medallion with a sweet trigger right out of the box. Unlike the t-bolt the preceded it.

I like Browning shotguns, UT I am not a fan of their rifles. The fit and finish is good, but the design of the rifles could be better, especially the triggers.

Next time you are at a store, just ask if you could hold several different guns from different companies and compare them directly yourself. I owen several Brownings and find that their fit and finish is above average which is why there are fewer negative reviews as a whole. Most modern guns will go bang when you pull the trigger but you will pay a bit more for the name and a better fitted gun which is what Brownings are.

lots of replies thanks! its the detachable mag that turned me on to them. im glad to hear they are good guns.
it sort of feels like all the companies are trying to build the cheapest gun. sort of bothers me.....

It's called "the race to the bottom", I try not support it whenever possible.

I was impressed with both X-bolts I owned.

You don't hear much about Browning's is because there's not much to complain about. Good solid guns, always have been.

Yep.
People get them for a rifle that works out of the box. Not something to tinker with like a savage or remington.
Not to the same extent at the very least.
