is the market that flooded to see all those ar15 below $700?

Who knows , maybe the price will drop even further as the market becomes flooded with these various brands of ARs ; maybe the price will hit the 500 to 600 mark once we get into fall , and manufactures are looking to clear their inventories before 2018 .

I thought I read somewhere this last shipment of M&P's will be the final ones at the reduced price. Maybe others will have excess inventory to blow out.

Hoping that AR-15 prices will drop below these levels is more than wishful thinking - even if the Canadian dollar sees a bump. Norinco barn-spec AR-15s are the benchmark for the minimum amount you can spend and still get a functional firearm. If you find any mil-spec brand name AR-15 (like a M&P) below that, snag it and run for the hills...

Prices will start to normalize in the not-too-distant future once supply dwindles or smaller manufacturers decide to get out of the AR15 game.

I fukking hope so. I've been eyeballing this one from Lever Arms for a while:

As I understand it, Norinco cold hammer forges their barrels, not so much for the sake of longevity of their barrels, but as a cost savings because apparently it's cheaper to manufacture this way. The longer lasting barrel life is just a bonus.

I've already got an SA20 and a 20" Colt HBAR build, but if Lever drops their price on their Norc built CQ-A1s in response to the dropping price of US-made ARs, I may have to grab a few Norcs as beater/loaner rifles.
Yes. You are 100% right regarding Norinco cold hammer forged and chrome lined barrels. They alone worth the money we spend on rifle.

How could be M&P a mil spec AR15 while it does not have a chrome lined barrel.lol

Smith and Wesson has several models of the M and P 15 ; some models have the chrome lined barrels , others models like the Sport 2 does not . It just depends on which model of the MP15 that you choose . The MP15 Sport 2 is the budget model of the MP15 line up I believe .

Yea. MP15 sport 2 is the cheapest one available in Canada after Norinco.
