No, definitely not. I'm buying mine to abuse it around my property during deer season and in the spring when the black bears wake up in southern Ontario. It will be a range toy and an abused tool. I don't see this as a milsurp collectible at all.

The ribbed portion is a pinned sleeve that slides over the barrel.
