Black Magic

Cleaned out the black magic moly out of barrel and primers are getting pierced.

Is there a spell I can cast or am I going to have to pull bullets?

That primer does not look pierced. Looks like an ordinary Federal primer.

How did you arrive at, or work up the load?

If you were shooting moly before, and then cleaned the tube, are you then using moly coated bullets in your reloads? Or is it the same load, WITHOUT moly on it?

As mentioned, this is not pierced at all. A little crattered but the edges are still nice and round.

CCI 450 I had 2 that pierced and one that leaked out the side and fired a couple more that where about like the one in the picture.

load is a proven load in rifle.

there 105gr lapoo non moly.



would also run 90 grainers that had moly on them.


Thinking maybe can fire lap moly back in barrel and see if that helps.

Moly reduces pressure. I find I need a half grain more powder if I use moly.

So if you shot the same load, without moly, the pressure would be higher. Is that what happened?
