Chilliwack IDPA Sunday Aug 06

I was there too signing up to the club! And got stuck on the hwy too. IDPA looks to be really fun. The GF and i were really impressed with how friendly everone was on sunday. Im really looking forward to the next match.
Glad to hear you are going to give it a go Ironman!!! Welcome to the CFGPA to both you and Chewy06, great club with excellent people. I just took the first half of the Case Course last night, looking forward to getting my certification to compete in Tactical Rifle.
We are very fortunate to have a board that actively promotes the shooting sports out here, most of the board members are involved in teaching the courses and running the events, great crew of dedicated guys and gals :)

Nice to see so many nice comments about CFGPA. Good to know the Board is heading the right direction in the eyes of the members.
CASE was great last night as the student caliber was high and competent. There should be zero issues for part 2!
Work on the administrative gun handling skills in the meantime.

And thanks for the 30lb bag edgy!

Lol, I guess I overestimated the weight :)

Many people were stuck on Hwy 1 because of that mill fire yesterday. It appeared the fire was burning right up to the side of the Hwy. Good news is I don't think anyone was hurt. Bad news is people have lost their jobs.

Chewy06, come on out and check out the Sept match.

Yep, which is why i don't get too bent out of shape about commutes that go sideways because of bad poop happening. Spending extra time in the truck is an inconvenience for me but it's usually nothing compared to the poor buggers with much bigger problems.

Anyway... coming out to watch - thanks, sounds like a very good idea. will have to look at the calendar & see what my schedule looks like. Its the time of year when my focus usually shifts into chasing fish though... although seeing as how the runs appear to be late and very weak this year, there might not be too much of that (I definitely wont be filling my freezer with sockeye, again). Seeing as how my PAL is still far away (i'm only at 28 days of waiting as of today), might as well come out and have a look see & start to formulate a plan on what the next steps are. Im thinking I might also take the trap guys offer up and try out some trap shooting there (that looks like a lot of fun too).

Hey Chewy,
IDPA shoots the first Sunday of every month. Set up is around 8am and the shoot starts around 0930. Come out and introduce yourself. Stone horse is almost always there and I usually come also. Or look for the club prez who you've already met.
Trap shoots Wednesday evenings for now but will slow down as the sun sets earlier.
Welcome to CFGPA!

Cool thanks. Dont think ill be making September, that falls on the long weekend, expect i'll be somewhere camping but will shoot (LOL) for October.

For the next IDPA match in Chilliwack you MUST go to Fraser Valley Tactical Shooters and join (it free). Then you can pre-register for the match. The fees will be $20 for IDPA members, $30 for all others. Pay at the match.

We are going to PracticeScore so registration will end 2 Sept at 6PM. This will give the Match Director Kim time to get everything loaded into the tablets.
