He is correct how ???? Assuming that they changed all the parts ?????

You pick up an advertising with Type 81 assault rifle with green furniture, create 08/2017 FRT entry "Type 81green" and call it prohibited. After that no Type 81 ever be allowed in as they will be a variant of Type 81 green.

Why are you assuming that the production rifles are any different than the sample submitted for FRT ?
Like I said, you start with baseless assumption and keep building scenarios on it.

The only requirement is Mr. Murray Smith doing the expertise. He's the man to go to if you want to convert anything to full auto with a screwdriver and duct tape.

Based on your logic we would not have any firearms in the country, because everything would be prohibited and apparently this is not the case !

Murray Smith is a busy man. He worked on AR-15 lower "not wide enough shelf" problem, that costs thousands of lives annually.

Prohibiting baby-killing high capacity 10/22 mags is his doing too.

Beo/5 mags used in every gang shooting across the country, yep, he's the man who stopped the massacre.

He's on Linkedin, look him up, he's the stalwart knight in shining armor, holding the tide. During the especially dark night, you can see a beam of light shining from FRT lab in Ottawa, looking and searching for "evil" things threatening the lives of Canadians.

Who knows what is next on his busy schedule?

You are free to pick your fears and be scared by choice !
Cheers

The RCMP cannot just prohibit a firearm because they don't like it. They can only apply the criteria set out in law and in regulations. The Type 81 is NON-RESTRICTED and will remain as such. Prohibition of variants can ONLY be done by OIC.

Even if they discovered that it is easily convertible, the classification is LOCKED IN. The NEWLY MANUFACTRURED semi-auto only firearms were inspected and found to be identical to the sample submitted to the RCMP lab. There is no way for the RCMP to prohibit them now.

In theory. In practice they, like almost every gov institution do whatever they think they can get away with

to add to this the original frt is for the type 81 sample rifle, which was a Parent entry, therefore any new ones would be under Child entry.

Please refer to the ruling on CZ858 "Spartan edition". "Absolutely different" rifle from CZ858 with new FRT entry.

If you had access to the frt and read the information on how the other importers type 81 was deemed a converted auto, specifically that part of the receiver trunnions were from a full auto, then you'd see what I mean.

The type 81 TI had for a sample was all new. Thus NR and R. If they built the same model reusing parts from a full auto (ie trunnions) it would trigger a new parent frt parent entry.

And it wouldn't fall under the 1 year freeze, because they would not edit the semi auto frt. They'd make a new parent frt to represent the different action classification.

Lots of baseless assumptions in your post.

It's literally written in the legal section of the other importers converted auto frt entry for their type 81.

Based on that. Not baseless.

The type 81 receiver is considered more than the formed receiver flat. The RCMP consider the trunnions and the folded flats to comprise the built receiver.
