I'm looking for some recommendations for an august 2018 bear hunting and fishing lodge. I'd like to take my 14 and 16 year olds for approximately a week. It should be in Ontario (or perhaps Quebec) with good family friendly accommodations and service and reasonably priced. Full service with meals, fishing boats, hunting stands, etc. would be the easiest for us. We could drive or fly to get there.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I was looking at the same type of trip last year but never got a chance to go.

Never been there but heard good reviews and reasonably prices.

I've stayed at Greenwilderness lodge around Gogama a couple times fishing. Russ and Linda are great and the lake they are on is huge. Never bear hunted with them but they do offer it.

Also stayed a few times at Paquette's Camp in Chapleau. Lewis is an amazing host and his bear baits are just outside Chapleau's wild life preserve. His prices are reasonable but his cabins are not at the 5 star level.

Auld Reekie Lodge in Gowganda. Urs and Diane and the family will treat you and the kids like royalty. Very family oriented and fishing is not limited to the lake the lodge is on. Been there half a dozen times and I can say out of all the outfitters I have attended in the past they are the best and accommodations are first class with the option of taking care of yourself or going with a plan.
PS the food is second to none and the camp fish fry on the house every week is a nice touch

They don't have a fall bear hunt there, only a few zones in Quebec have a fall bear hunt. A few yrs ago new owners took over that camp and lets just say their people skills are not very developed. Walleye fishing is outsdanding though.
