Grizzly/Wingmaster Compatibility

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if the Grizzly would be compatible with a wingmaster barrel?

Cant remember where but remember reading that there may be some issues with the mounting but wanted to confirm if im just going crazy.

You're trying and it won't work...or...you can't find an answer online? As far as I know, it should be compatible but there are Chinese-made, 870 clones out there (780?) that never did accept 870 barrels. As far as I know, shouldn't be a problem with a Grizzly..but I've never tried. I mean... I have a grizzly and a few 870 barrels around, just never had to. :)
 
The Remington barrels I tried on Grizzly receiver, indexing was wayyyyyyyyy off. As in so far off the Chinese were smoking' crack somewhere in the process.

Couldnt find a solid answer online as some said they fit and others said they didnt.
 
The HP-9 i used to have would accept Wingmaster and Police barrels. Barrel indexing was fine, sights lined up.
I have heard more than one Dominion/Grizzly owner claiming to have trouble with this though. Maybe i got lucky. I should have kept it, it was beast.
 
Technically they should interchange, all I have tried (9 of them) did. But, the stickler is quality of the build. Some Griz shotguns +/or barrels were not the straightest things ever made. Kinda a unit by unit case. Only way to find out is to try. Good luck!
 
I just tried a 14 inch police barrel on mine and it's a no-go - the ejector housing is oversized on the Grizzly. I guess I could thin it out a bit, but for an inch and a half, I'll just stick with a Wingmaster for that length
