Appreciate any and all advice on which scope and rings to go with on my NEW CZ 455 in 22 lr! This is the Canadian edition and my first CZ rifle. Super Excited!

Leaning towards the Nikon P rimfire 2x7 with 150 bdc reticle but open to suggestions. Also the Cz rings are nice but at $90 are they worth it?

This rifle is for my daughter and I'm hoping she keeps it forever so what to do?

Thanks. T

I know it sucks to say, and it is not my money, BUT, I would suck it up and buy the CZ rings just because. They were made specifically for the rifle. I do not own one myself, but a 'matching' gun could not hurt. I like the scope choice too.

I should have added that you had already spent a good dollar on the rifle, so why settle for any other rings.

With that philosophy you should go all the way with the scope too.;)

Seriously, there's nothing "better" about the CZ rings that their high price merits. But in the end you should do what satisfies.

I got these from amazon.

They worked great, seemed to be pretty good quality. I put a weaver 2x7 on it, I use mine for hunting.

You bought a $600 rifle for your daughter and asking about spending another $90 on rings?
Have you looked at the Leupold Rings?
The sticker shock will wear off once you install either of those ring sets .

Buy them .......once and happy ever after , after that.

Cheap way is BKL rings or others use Warne 7.3/22 (I think I've remembered the number right)

^this. I've never felt any temptation to order CZ rings. Ever. The last few sets of rings I've purchased have been these; http://warnescopemounts.com/product/722m-1-inch-7-322-high-matte-rings/ I prefer to shop @ "bricks & mortar" Canadian businesses, but the best deals on these rings I've found have been on Amazon.ca. They were never on my radar until I read all kinds of endorsements on RFC for their use with CZs, but I use them whenever I can. Including my 452 Varmint. Even have an extra couple of pairs waiting for future guns. :)

BKL are very good too in my experience. I've bought/used them on 3 set-ups...one of which I still have/use. (Marlin 17HMR gopher gun)

Leupold~I've used QRW/PRW/Rifleman and honestly...I see no better quaility in those things than I do the Warne. In fact, they all look like they've rolled out of the same factory in China. I'm guessing the "Leupold" name makes them worth more though..?

I have dip rails on my cz's with scopes and leupold prw rings.

I recently bought 3 nikon scopes and 2 were crap out of the box. The 2 broken ones were the prostaff rimfire 4-12. Can't see myself ever buying another nikon after that.

I have the CZ 455 Varmint with heavy barrel in .22. I mounted the Nikon rim fire 4-12 scope on a set of Talley rings that I purchased online at Amazon.ca

I went with the Warne 7.3/22 rings (medium) with a Leupold 1.5-5x and its a great setup on my 455 FS, ticks all the boxes. The Warne rings were just more available (off amazon) and I had read good reviews on a forums.

I got my CZ455 American, oh dear, about 8 years ago. Great rifle your daughter will love it, I'm sure. However I went to a Wal*Mart and bought Weaver tip-off rings and a Bushnell 3X-9X 4scope, price was about 10% of the purchase price of the gun, or $50US. Could I have spent more? Sure the LGS tried to get me to spend $400 on a scope they carried and they were offering to "throw in the rings for free". Would a higher priced, and admittedly quality, scope and rings really make enough of a difference? Maybe at both ends of daylight and if the gun was to be subjected to extreme temperature change and countless rounds being fired. But mine still bits to point of aim when taken out and she's eaten thousands of rounds.

So I landed on some Leupold rings for this build. Fantastic fit and even got a deal from a member for a new set shipped $45. Love the EE and the wealth of knowledge on this forum.

Thanks to all for the advice

Leupold rings for me, or get a DiP rail and go tactical rings. I have a DiP rail & SWFA tactical rings on my CZ455 varmint/ target rifle. On my CZ455 Varmint 17hmr it's Leupold rings
