.40 cal mags for 9mm Shadow 2?

Hello. Can I use .40 cal Shadow 1 mags in a Shadow 2? How many more 9mm rounds does it hold? Thanks.

From what I've read, yes they will fit as it's pretty much the same body as the 9mm version. You should be able to stuff 13rnds of 9mm.

I have tried this with Beretta, and CZ TS mags and this does not work with them. Not sure about the CZ slim body though......

This morning the customer service rep at Bulls Eye in London was kind enough to test fit the Magnum Research Desert baby eagle .40 S&W magazine for me. Happy to say it fits and releases perfect. I already have a tracking number. Excellent customer service.

Just tried a Mecgar cz-75 .40 magazine, you can actually load 14 9mm rounds in it. Will try functionality once I actually have a Shadow 2 (could be a few more weeks).

And if it works, You have a prohibited device and the RCMP will crack down on everyone who owns one. Brilliant! Do you really have to give them ammunition ( pun intended)?

Good popint. However, as a sidenote, remember the following: an administrative bulletin does not have the force of law. It is only a statement by the RCMP as to how they interpret the law.

Now: flashback to the Ruger 10/22 high capacity magazine fiasco. The RCMP wilfully ignored point #4 of that same bulletin. Why would they not do it again? Keep bragging about using "high capacity" .40 S&W magazines in your 9mm pistol, and they will!

My IWI Jericho .40 mags work perfectly in Shadow 1 and 2. 14+1 with no tweaking.

The current 17 and 19 rounds mags that CZ ships with the Shadow 2 and Shadow are in fact marked 9mm on one side and 40 on the other. The 10 round dented MecGar mags we get in Canada are the exact same mags as those 17/19 rounders. So if you're using those mags (riveted of course if they are the 17/19 round versions) you will be fine. As for other makes or designs, why bother? Just get the MecGar mags, they are the best there are.
