Wife said Its been awhile since I got a new gun and I sold my 1911's bigger then a .22

Pros: has everything I want
Cons: stainless,external extractor,I don't like adjustable sights,I've never seen a sig 1911 in person however I don't mind the 226.

Have you considered the STI Trojan? Best quality 1911 you can buy for under $2,000. I would pick it over any of the guns you've listed.

Yes I have however I don't feel they are a $2000 gun when they were $1400ish they were the best for you dollar but at 2k I can't get there for a Trojan.

Is that how much they sell for now? I thought they were around $1500.
 
I would take the Colt Competition also.........only $1225.00.

The only thing I would do is change the blue fiber optic for green (or red). The blue one is not great but they had to match the stocks.

I think that a worn blued/coated pistol looks better then a worn stainless pistol.
I really like that sig but I need to get over the stainless thing I was hoping more people would have input on that one.
 
The sig didnt seem to meet what I thought were the key criteria, but hey it is your purchase. Maybe you need to revise the criteria. If the sig speaks to you, go for it. I wouldnt say it is better than the others though. It is really down to features and cosmetics with that group and those are personal things.
 
I would pick the Wiley Clapp Commander.

Brass bead sight is quick to pick up. They never "run out" like tritium sights. I ordered Gold bead sights for my custom 1911's for that reason.

In 9mm, Aluminum frame will be fine, it also makes the pistol lighter. Commander length is a bit handier than 5" guns.

9mm..you can afford to shoot it more, less recoil.
 
I have the adjustable sight version of the S&W Pro from Wanstalls. It is a very nice pistol and feels/shoots great.

That's interesting I thought the gold bead was gimmicky but I guess there's a reason their used in the world of sporting clays. The light weight of it is what's putting me off I find I tend to like heavier guns more.
