Ruger 22/45 (Mk III) issues with volquartsen kit

Noob question, I'll getright to it; volquartsen kit came with a Mk III hammer & sear amongst other goodies, but no hammer bushing.
Put it back together and the magazine disconnect and cut out in the hammer seem to be getting hung up... jams and trigger doesn't function after re-assembly.
Should I be looking at swapping for a Mk II bushing and hammer, eliminate the mag disconnect?

Not sure the mk 2 will work but Tendamkross' bushing or the mejstic arms speedstrip kit bushing both should work because I tried both on each of my 2 mk 3 22/45

Yes, get rid of the disconnect and make your life easier in so many ways.

Does the mag disconnect elimination necessitate a new hammer bushing? or can I just leave the volquartsen hammer in on the stock bushing without fear of it drifting left and right with the void space?

Yes you need a bushing with a fatter spacing to eliminate the mag disconnect.

The MKIII is tremendously improved with the Volquartzen kit and bushing.

Met the guy, he is super nice and a totally stand up guy. Buy with confidence.

Also my experience with the kit needed a lot of fiddling to get it right. It is now excellent and exactly what I want. It didn't always feel like it when fiddling with parts so have patience.

Also I had to detune the trigger a lot more than I thought to get it right. What works with a few dry fires at the workbench and what works with live action aren't the same.

What do you mean when you say "detune the trigger"; I'm patient enough that I've been playing with this and taken apart and put it together about a dozen times, I hate the process but I'm pretty much doing it with muscle memory now.

Volquartzen trigger is adjustable for sear engagement and overtravel. I was unable to tune out all the overtravel and what worked for sear when dry firing didn't work for live fire, though I'm unable to say exactly why.
