The SIG MPX 9MM Pistol with 8 inch barrel

Unconventional design, unmatched performance, and familiar AR handling. The SIG MPX redefines the submachine gun category with a new level of operator safety, in-field adaptability and proven reliability in the harshest environments. Completely ambidextrous, the SIG MPX is great for left- or right-handed shooters with its dual-sided selector switch, magazine release, charging handle and bolt release. The SIG MPX operates from a fully-closed and locked rotating bolt, offering enhanced reliability and safety in use. A short-stroke gas piston allows the SIG MPX to run all weights and brands of 9mm ammunition with no adjustments to the gas valve. A full-length Picatinny rail allows for solid, consistent mounting of optics and targeting lasers.

Once a pistol always a pistol, from my understanding these will always stay restricted and limited to range use only.

How So? Not true.

For example the BRS-99 that could be changed to NR with a barrel change.
The CZ scorpion evo carbines that are being brought into the country which include the restricted barrel as well.
The 18" barrels which were made so the Bushmaster ACR 's could be reclassified as NR

I am sure there are other examples; these are just a quick few I thought of

Really want one of these but waiting till someone brings it in .40 cal and at least in a sbr form that way can get a non restricted barrel for it one day
