Who will get the New Gen 5 Glocks In.

Just wondering what time frame the new gen 5 Glocks will come in and who will have them. Went to my local gun shop and they are saying around 6 months. Does anyone know anything about roughly who will have them first. Would like to order mine.

I heard around Christmas from my LGS, but I'm sure Irun will likely be able to bring them in prior. Guess it all depends how badly you want it.
 
If you want the Glock 5 right now, order it from Brownells but you'll need to use IRUNGUNS to import it. You may want to check with IRUNGUNS as they may now have it instock themselves.
 
I looked at a bunch of Gen 5 Glock 17 and 19's at 2 different stores in the US yesterday and today.

Reminds me of a Gen 2 grip wise. I think the triggers are better on these new guns than previous gens out of the box.

It will be interesting to see what mods the aftermarket comes up with for these Gen 5 triggers. The finish is superior to the most recent flat finish that was quite easily marked and scuffed. Overall, I think it is a real improvement but I still like my Gen 3 RTF better!

BTW the yanks had lots of them in stock at $599 USD and had sold a bunch already.
 
If I didn't already have a Glock (and looking) I would buy a Gen5. Can't believe they still sell them with those crappy sights!
For now I'll stick with my Gen3......

After using a set of Trijicon HD XR night sights I don't know how anyone can shoot with those Glock sights ...

I see that you live in Ontario. Select Shooting Supplies is having a Range Day at the Galt Sportmen's Club. They just confirmed that the will have the Glock 17M (the "FBI Glock) avail to shoot.
 
I can't understand the problem people have with the finger grooves of the Gen 4. Mine just fit my hand so well. I guess I will keep my Gen 4.

YouTube and just general reading sites show positive reviews on the Gen 5. Just sold my last Gen 4 so time to pick up a Gen 5. Hurry up Wanstalls..lol
 
I will be getting one. I hate glocks but for some damned reason it's one of the most accurate pistols for me to shoot.

...I hate myself.

I have/had them all. Accuracy wise, can't go wrong with either. The Glock definetly wins in term of follow up shots though. The grip of the Walther and HK is more ergonomic but the texture is too slippery for my taste. There's a lot of options now in the striker fire plastic pistol but I keep going back to the Glock. I heard that the SFP9 will be available with a longer slide, I might consider it over the G34 as long as the point of impact is similar to the Glock.
