I have a bunch of live cases the didn't get bumped back enough on the shoulders due my error in die setting. And, didn't notice my error until I primed about 40 cases.

What is the safest method to solve this problem?

You can deprime the same way you deprime fired cases. It is shock that fires a primer. You pin just pushes.

You can also re-use the primers, too, but I would not use them for important ammo. That said, I have never had a problem with a salvaged primer.

^^ Likewise. And you don't have to remove the pin from your die to resize, just unscrew the stem so the pin isn't protruding below the base of the die.
