Usually I find parts even if I have to order from Brownells....but I am not having much luck on locating nice wood grips for a 686 and a 629.

Do you know of any retailers that carry some?

For my 686 I got mine on eBAY - probably made by children in Thailand. Price was right, quality was very good, fit was very good.
Took about 3 weeks or so to get to Canada.

One thing of note is going from my stock Hogues to these import wood grips I can no longer use my Safariland Comp II or III speedloaders.
The ones I got are copies of the Heritage Grips (that Eagle has on B/O) which also do not work with speedloaders.

I'd second Eagle and Nill if you want high end. I like Hogue wood grips too, come in many variants and they are cheaper than the other 2. All can be ordered direct.

Nills from Germany. They cost a lot and take about 2 months to get to you but they are sooooooo nice !

Very limited N frame options on Ebay. Hogue has some very nice Rosewood, Pau Ferro and Cocobolo grips. Was trying to order from them but won't let me check out (says invalid postal code) I am guessing you cant direct order from Canada. Anyone tried? (Hogue)

I have before without issue. Worth a call or email to Hogue to check, if e-checkout isn't working with canadian postal codes.

I just bought a dozen sets from Hogue for our club. No problems with the order (other than the duty and taxes when they crossed the border).

Check this site out.
