Hey y'all,

I'm thinking about a new pistol because I really would to preserve my Tokarev in the best condition possible, being of historical value and all. The p250 seems right up my alley as it's affordable (I'm not paycheque-to-paycheque or anything, but I like to conserve costs), and 9milli-meme for optimal availability. What kind of experience do people here have with it?

Cheers and tia

I never fired any Tokarev but I did try out the P250 a few times. I think the best description for it, to me, is that it is a "Revolver with a slide". If you are revolver guy at heart (like me) you will like it. Trigger is very much like a DA revolver so if you can shoot a DA revolver well you will do well with this gun.

I do not own a P250 now but I am absolutely interested in getting one soon as well. It is a very cool gun just a bit of a diff animal compare to my Glock 17s. I am sure some actual owners can give you some more info ;)

I have a 250. First and only pistol i own. It shoots well if you do your part. The trigger is nice for a DA. I usually use nutinfancys method of staging the trigger for accurate shots. Rapid fire can be challenging with the long pull and reset. Would I buy it again? Probably not. For the same price you can get a Norinco p226 or 1911 in 9mm a police trade in CZ 85 or baretta. You can also get a decent.22 which is what I'm buying next so I can shoot more. Because even though 9 is cheap, .22 is cheaper

This is good, thanks a lot - I'll check out the cz85 and the Norc p226 as well.

All I know it's reasonably priced and Nutnfancy approved

Thanks for the warning lol

Not a fan of DAO trigger on it. Similar to a revolver. I may get used to it but have only owned a few revolvers, yet have A LOT of SA/DA. I just like the light triggers on my 1911's.
I have no qualms about the accuracy of mine. It actually is one of my most accurate pistols. 2 of my more skilled shooting buddies shoot it really well....better than me.
It DOES NOT LIKE STEEL CASED AMMO. It only runs on brass cased ammo. 100% reliable with brass. 0% with steel. I am gonna keep mine because I know it shoots and I need to practice DAO trigger use. It is a $1000 gun in the accuracy department.

I have a p250 and a NP22. As said before, the single action on the Np22 is way easier to shoot the the double on the p250. That said, if you stage the trigger right on the P250 she is a very accurate pistol. Also the only SIG I own. I favor shooting the NP22 over it.

And cost-wise... I also have a GSG 1911 22lr. Shoots great and yes, way cheaper than 9mm, especially when taking new shooters to the range.

I had P250, was very accurate, tight groups.
The trigger pull is way lighter than any other pistol I ever had, including revolvers. It's just long pull, but very smooth and light.
Feel in hand was nice.

I sold mine after I purchased too many other guns after it, had to reduce the total number in safe :)

for the price I would say it's a great gun.

P250 is currently my only handgun and I have about 5-600 rounds through it.
The trigger pull is long, but if you "Stage" your pull, i.e. pull the trigger until you feel the slight tightening before release, hold, aim then complete your pull - it is pretty accurate.
The trigger wasn't great when I first bought it, but it has steadily improved the more I have used it.
I found it to be more accurate than my buddies M&P9 (which had an upgraded trigger), CZ75B (surprisingly) and SDV9E, The only thing I found more accurate was another buddies SP-01, although I have not fired a lot of handguns to be honest.
Rapid fire is difficult to maintain accuracy due to the long pull and reset as others have said - so unlikely to be used for competition lol.

I find it to be comfortable, easy to strip and clean and it looks good - it came with a decent case and 2 x magazines.
I intend to keep it, as I generally like it.
