I are a few people who have ata mirage but I've never heard of the mirage and it's not on ata arms Web site ?

Yes lhrg is my local store
They just have the mirage one
Odd that sports action in Ottawa carries Weatherby and Ata
Aren't they identical except for logo?

Any gun shop that deals with North Sylva can get you one - a quick look shows me that NS has all models currently in stock.

I brought a few of them in and they are selling well.

The CY is ATA's own version of the Weatherby Element (yes, ATA makes them) - identical if you put them side by side save the name and location of the serial number - and they are almost 300 bucks cheaper.

hi
the CY is the gas version, same as the weatherby SA08 is it not?
weatherby element is inertia driven, same as ATA neo series?

is it worth spending the extra money for the weatherby version for the warranty and customer support?
is it very difficult to get replacement parts for the ata/weatherby?

my only concern is should i spend a bit more and get a mossberg 930 or similar that i can readily get parts for.

I'd go for the Mossberg. You can sometimes find some very well priced on the EE. I have the 935 and I love it....although the 3.5" capability is not needed. If you dont plan on shooting 3.5" shells, the the 930 is the way to go

I want to mostly shoot clays at home with low recoil
I'm not a big fan of recoil so light loads which are easier in the shoulder would be good
Will the 930 cycle 7/8 or 1oz lower powered loads or birds hot ?

I probably got them backwards, the CY is the less expensive of the two - one is gas the other inertia. We have them lined up side by each with the Weatherby models. Some still want the Wby on the side and will pay for it.

Another guy that works behind the counter picked up one of the walnut stocked CY's and said it was the nicest semi he has ever shot.

As far as warranty, it's no tougher getting warranty work on the Turkish made and branded stuff then the domestics that slap their name on the side.

We sell the CY for under 600 bucks (camo or black), the SA-08 in either model is almost 300 bucks more. That's a lot of premium to pay just for the Wby name and save a major malfunction you could probably get a local gunsmith to take care of a minor issue for a lot less than 300 bucks.

I have used a 930 for a few rounds of clays and it cycled cheap clay rounds no problem (federal top gun if I remember correctly). I got it used, so there may have been a bit of a break in before I got it to run the low power stuff.

"Bulls eye" in London Ont can get you set up.Kids bought me a ATA Mirage 20 gauge semi from "Bulls eye" for my birthday...Love it

i still dont know what the mirage is
it is not on the ata website anywhere?
it looks just like the normal CY
but it's 50 dollars less than anywhere else.
is it a lower trim or something?
does it still come with low and high powered piston, and chokes?

Cool
Armsan and ata appear to have the same format for their Weatherby style shotguns
Same price same design different factory
Wonder if parts are interchangable with armsan like the weather by and ata
