Does Remington currently offer a 20" fully rifled - rifle sight 12 gauge 870 barrel with ball detent ?

All I'm coming across doesn't have the ball.

Your best bet would be to look for a Hastings rifles barrle Thu are made in France and are a lot better then anything Remington made. I have one I the wingmaster high gloss finish and love it.

I have looked at the Hastings dutchhunter and they seem really good. Downside is I really don't want it to be longer than 20", if memory serves their shortest is 26" ?

Yeah, I just checked their site. Their shortest is 24" (not cantilever, which is what I want). Cutting it down to 20", reattach site and re-blue would be an expensive project !

I have a 20 inch on my daughters 870 and find the 24 swings better and just feels better .and I do a lot of dogging in deer season. It sure shoots great.

Are you going to use a mag tube extension ?

No Sir. Only use those on "tactical"type SG's, not on hunting stuff.
