IMO, $900 -1200. In a Deluxe model maybe $ 1500-1600
I bought a new m75 Greywolf 25-06 back in 2008 for $ 1350 with GST-made this into a 338-06AI. Prior to that I got a mint m75ss 243 for $1200 and a very like-new m75ss 22-250 for $1000-private sales.
I paid $ 1199 + GST for my first m75ss Sako rifle back in 1997 (300WM).
I also bought a mint m75ss 270WSM with Optilocks rings and bases for $1400 back in 2012-private sale.
In about 2006/07 I picked up a Sako m75 Greywolf 300WSM with Optilocks and a Leupold VX III 3.5-10x40 scope in Gunmetal Grey with BC reticle mounted for close to $ 2400 with GST. This rifle only had 10 shots fired thru it and the owner said it was to much gun for him. He worked at P & D Enterprises and it was to be his retirement rifle or something like that so he traded it back in for a smaller caliber. I sold it shortly after to a moose camp friend that wanted to upgrade from his old rifle for what I paid. If my friend ever decides to sell it, I told him I would buy it back for the collection of m75 rifles.
Sako's lock ("key concept") is a major turn off for me - obviously more than just me as they dumped the idea soon after inception. It just ruins the lines of an otherwise beautiful rifle. To delete the lock costs from $50 -150 in parts alone, depending on how handy you are. Furthermore I recently heard they are no longer making/getting spare parts like shrouds for the 75 series so you may even have trouble sourcing the part(s).
I would say $1000-1300 - but I'm not a blued/walnut guy so I may be a bit biased.
*a bit of a side rail, but on another note some guys complain that you could potentially lose a mag from a 75 by accidentally hitting the release. I've never had the issue, but for the guys who worry you can use a sako 85 release in the 75's release housing. No other mag mods or anything like that required.
You would get $1400 for sure..anything above that would be better.
Best thing about the Model 75's is you never have to worry about the ejection issue that some 85's have...Id pay more for a 75 then an 85 for that fact.
I won't bet on that.
It has the lock. I have a couple synthetics and McMillans it could wear also. Price is a bit on the high side, but you dont find these much anymore...
