My 1st melt UPDATED

What do you mean by bottle neck?

Once melted were you waiting on any one operation to complete in order to continue? I.E. Waiting on an available muffin tin.

When I did my 110# melt with Fingers, we had 3 regular size muffin tins going and were close waiting on those.

If you want to remove the muffin tin cool off bottleneck stand the muffin tins on a cookie sheet with water in it, cools really quick. I've also smoked my muffin tins with a tiger torch turned way down, the ingots just fall out.

I can only be supportive because we scrounge for clip-ons in different regions...
Congrats!
Awesome feeling comes with that first pile of ingots. First good bullets to drop from a mold feel great, and the first one you launch is priceless! I am finding the entire process of casting, and reloading as rewarding as shooting itself.

Thank you. I saw a video where a guy just placed his muffin trays on an old wet towell after pouring. As a noob, I was just a bit nervous about having water around my melt. I'll get around to trying it when I do a bigger batch.

I also burnt the teflon coating off of the cavities of my muffin trays with a blowtorch and my ingots fell out whitout any effort.

I can't wait to see the end resut! I feel the same way about how rewarding it is.

Awesome! Good job!

These 370gn 50cal Maxi-balls are silly expensive when purchased TC branded. Well worth the mold investment. Pan lubing is easy.
I harvested 200 on my first cast, and that will probably do me my lifetime.
