DILEMMA - Ruger 10/22 takedown heavy barrel vs Dlask arms DAR22

Hey guys. I'm wanting another 22 in the 10/22 platform. Just not sure which one to get. The Ruger takedown with heavy bar looks awesome, but so does the dlask. I like the features of the ruger but not 100% sure how well a scope would hold zero taking the rifle apart multiple times (maybe you takedown owners can weigh in). If i went with the ruger id also pick up a magpul backpacker stock for it which looks bada$$. On the other hand, the dlask obviously doesn't break down, but i like the fact that the pic rail is built in to the receiver, and that its made from 7075 aluminum, and I'm sure would have a bit better accuracy. Both are at that $700 mark. Help!
 
I have the takedown with the optic mounted on the receiver. It holds zero, just make sure you follow the instruction manual regarding setting the barrel lock up tension when you first get it.

Actually have read about this, and does make sense. You have the regular profile, or heavy barrel? Factory stock on it?

Literally didn't know about this 'til today! Thank you! Looks rad. I inquired with dlask about eta, price, etc but said they will release all that info pending the RCMP's decision.

Sorry missed the follow up. I have the regular profile barrel and factory stock.
 
I dont like the built in rail. If it gets marked up from swapping rings/scopes its much better to just replace the rail. I doubt theres any accuracy advantage to the built in rail.
 
You can get the Dlask with or without rail.

I bought a nearly new full custom DLASK / Kidd with carbon barrel off a gentleman on CGN and have been throughly impressed.

It’s maybe not true single shot accurate but it runs ammo it likes flawlessly. It’s printed many small groups. Perfect plinker with red dot or going for the 5-.5” group challenge with a scope. (I hope to complete that in the spring)

I was in a similar situation and I chose to pick up ruger 10/22 vleh (nice deal off the ee) and tricked it out a bit.
Was cheap and easy to get into the heavy barrel game.
I'm waiting for the tuf 22.
Dlask has been flawless with the products I've purchased over the years and for many reasons this new rifle should be my last 10/22 platform.
The takedowns are cool. I just never felt the need for it in a .22 caliber rifle. They are already handy and compact.

Except this week -- when the Ruger VLEH Target Tactical is on sale at IRunGuns Canadian store in the Edmonton area for $515 + GST + Canada Post shipping: https://www.irunguns.us/product.php?p=ruger-1230-10-22-target-tact-sa-22-lr-16-12 (the $399.99 U.S. was translating to $515 CDN when ordering). The VLEH comes with a 4lb-pull target trigger (better than stock but not as good as the BX trigger) while the Dlask basic Dar-22 comes with the stock Ruger trigger and offers a $65 trigger job as an optional upgrade. At an even price point -- or near one -- the Dar-22 wins barrels down but not when the VLEH can be had for $200 less with that target trigger included.

BTW Sale ends in a couple of days.
