Glock Finger Groove Removal Regret ?

im in the same boat.
really like my 19 but those finger grooves are just 100% in the wrong spot for me!

i was just about to send mine away to have them taken off when news of the Gen5 came out.
im just gonna leave mine and pick up a Gen5.

Because, despite of what internet wants you to believe in...it's not exactly a popular demand.
Huge majority of the owners of the average size hands will never really experience Glock knuckle.
It's usually either the people with the very large hands or long fingers that are affected. Even them...don't really need a full blown cut, but just a bit of filing off on both sides of the area where trigger guard meets the frame.
I believe what my fingers tell me, as you point out it's a problem for some, not all.
I wonder though if the slight modification you mention was made, would it bother you?

Myself, I can get use to almost anything, so I'll be ok with or without the grooves. Same goes for trigger guard's shape. All I'm saying is that from the business point of view the statistics (like this issue) will probably not affect the production and sales.

Hickok45 is 6'8'' with huge hands and no problem with grooves. I'm 5'10'' with medium hands and no problem as well... I believe its better to grow into a gun than the other way around. Adaptation makes us versatile.
