Range time with a Weatherby Vanguard .270 WIN

No offense to the OP, I would go with a lower magnification optic, if you, as stated mostly shoot deer at 50-75 yards, I had a similar magnification scope and sold it to buy a prostaff 7 in 2.5-10X50


But, you'll have to try it out and see what you think..

I figured a FOV difference of approx 5' at the low end of the magnification range (33' vs 28' @100y) won't make a huge difference unless I encountered deer at less than 50y often. Only time will tell.
 
2-7 or 3-9 power scope is all you may need for the ranges you mention.
But for more light transmission you need a 30mm tube.
The 50mm bell will not give you much more in the way of light gathering and it will increase the weight and top heavy feel of the gun.
Field of view, no opinion there.
