Best Brass For .243?

The readily available Winchester brass is not impressing me in the least. The current batch I have sticks in the shell holder (RCBS) until I sand a few thousandths off the head. Maybe once fired it'll improve.
For the slight increase in price, my next buy will be Lapua.

what is your application?

...sport, bolt action hunting loads

...87 grain bullets

...the brass i have is quite old and had multiple reloads/trimmings

...can't last forever, i know

...but this older winchester stuff just feels thin and i have never weighed it but should...i'll do that today

Peterson it is suppose to be better then lapua, made in the usa, and cheaper. Shipment is coming up shortly.

I have some Peterson 308 I necked down to 7mm. So far my impression is it is better then lapua. I will know more when I get the rifle back from the smith and fire it once.

Better the Lapua is wishful thinking...

For the average hunter/sport shooter, most commercial brass will do all that they want. I can offer you brass from pretty much all brands so just want to make sure my customers get good value for their investment.

If you were a competition shooter and needed very strong brass you could reload many times and shoot bugholes way out there, I would certainly suggest you invest in some of the better stuff.

Smacking a ground hog or coyote a couple of times a year out of a factory rifle, maybe there are other options that will serve just as well.

Questions I would suggest you consider:

What type of rifle?

What type of dies do you currently use?

What type of accuracy requirements?

how much shooting do you do a year? How much brass do you actually need?

What is your budget?
