trap shooting with remington 870

I think the poster is talking about informal "pasture Trap" - not "Skeet".

I like that name, pasture trap. Hahaha!! I'll be using that one...Laugh2Laugh2Laugh2

Pretty sure they shoot "skeets" for that game. I have heard from quite a few about going to Canadian Tire and getting a case of skeets to shoot! Maybe thats where the confusion comes into play..,

Ahhhh.... the light goes on. "bout a week ago, I heard hundreds of rapid fire shots coming from the neighbors place - different calibers - sometimes a single shot - sometimes 20 or more rapid fire. I texted just to be sure it wasn't someone shootin' up farm equipment and he told me he was just shootin' some skeets. I was trying to figure how long the tube would have to be on that 20 round semi skeet gun. Now that I think about it, he was probably trying to figure out how many mags it would take through the SKS to hit a "skeet".

Thanks for the interpretation spank.

.... and this response has surely left behind any reason to occupy this sub-forum. Sorry. Gone off topic.

dam skeeters sucking all our blood.

but in all seriousness, sure a pump could be used for any of the clay sports, but i do find that my second shot suffers sometimes. Shooting low house on stations 1-4 are pretty brutal for me. getting anything but a pump will probably give you a second or two more to find the second target and thats about it.

i do like how o/u swings though, the weight balance on a pump feels weird.

took me an entire summer to hit two with my old bolt action I had. that gun always got a conversation started on the line lol

Ok back on topic (especially for Robi). What has been the results of your patterning? Have you been able to determine the poi(point of impact) in relation to the poa(point of aim)? Thats the first critical step, seeing if the gun shoots to where you are looking.
