Who is buying a Type81?

You just contradicted yourself.

If they don't have enuff capital to refund us fully then they are risking their business.

Remember? You said they paid next to nothing for the rifles so it's easy to find out where the huge profit went to.

You missed math class I guess. TI is a tiny operation, they could not afford the rifles to begin with, say $250k just to be nice. Guns get seized, they are worthless, they don't get returned, they get melted, zero profit for TI. Everyone expects a refund and everyone paid $1000. TI can't give everyone full refunds because they would be $250k in the hole....out the $250k for the rifles they bought.
So they lose their business...what does that consist of? A $500 incorporated company and $10,000 worth of stock they have in their moms basement?

TI takes risks so that we can have shiny new toys not previously available, for that I commend them.

Thank you Tactical Imports.

If they only paid half ($500) per rifle from what we pay($1000), I'm sure they will have more then enough $$$ to issue refunds if need be. Did you even order one of these hitzy? You sure seem to like to start up crap on numerous threads.
I did order one well over a year ago and will be pleased when they do arrive. You don't see me whining and complaining about costs and timeframes and delays, get a life

If they are going to risk their company, the potential profit better be worth the risk right? ..... And yet here Hitzy is complaining their looking to profit too much for risking their company. And he thinks I'm cluless lol

You know the delay may be a blessing in disguise. There was a problem of some kind with the fixed stock version, and it would have taken even longer to arrive had they shipped separately. I'm glad they held the shipment until both types were ready.

Except this is a bad week to have the Feds inspecting a crate of rifles.

There you go again, guessing as usual.

Check your math, according to your figures and assumption. a million in sale , cost $250,000 so where did the profit of $750,000 go? I'm sure it won't be difficult for the Bankruptcy trustee to find out .

Btw , miss math class? so funny , I was in finance when I retired early.

How do they make a profit if they have to refund $1m but only have $750k? Either 250 pre-order people are getting nothing, or everyone is talking a $250 loss, best case scenario of course. Or the $750k is spent already...then what?
You must have been the janitor at some financial firm...or the secretary.

If it departed China at the beginning of September, and is scheduled to arrive sometime in Port by Oct 11... I'd consider that a reasonable pase. Considering I've ordered small items from China on eBay that have taken MONTHS to ship

WUT??? I don't know who you order from, but I've had items ship from China and arrive in literally 5 business days, regular mail. As an example, I got two Type 56 mag pouches in yesterdays mail, which I ordered exactly a week ago (more info in the locked thread). I've ordered other eBay items and it indeed took 2 months (usually the $0.99 eBay items from high volume sellers).

It all depends on how fast the seller actually puts your parcel in the mail box to ship. A lot of them will print the label, mark as "shipped" and then wait to package and ship other orders before yours goes out, which can take a few extra weeks.

Nothing takes MONTHS of actual travel, even by cargo ship. This is not Columbus' 1492 voyage...

TI posted on the 22nd of Sept that "they are somewhere in the Pacific". I surmised this was the day the shipment actually left the port and based on the average time to Vancouver being about 20 days that's about right.

Statistically, that statement can suppose the cargo is just as likely to be at the port of departure as at the port of entry and also anywhere on the ocean in between.

If I remember correctly, TI also stated that the containers were shipping out in EARLY September and should arrive END of September. Check today's calendar please, because September 2017 is a DeLorean and 88 mph away...

I have heard with ebay... what shippers will do to save money on shipping.. is insted of booking space on a ship... they will wait, if need be, for a ship that has extra space. Therefore.. discount on shipping!

Your thinking Air Mail, air mail is good for small 1 off items not a shipping container. Ships usually stop at multiple ports and load and unload various items, it is not a direct shipping line. It may stop in Korea, or Japan, etc. on its way over here and it does add time to the shipping when there in port.

Makes sense. The "Slow Ass Maru" must've become available end of September, but she only has one working engine and an incomplete propeller due to a Megalodon attack...

I would also surmise your ability to read between the lines in somewhat lacking.

Fine. Then they shouldn't tell us that the rifles will be in Canada END OF SEPTEMBER.
