M+M just realized that the Canadian market is more juicy than they thought

Exactly. I don't blame Can-Am or Wanstalls for the shenanigans.
Pre-order sales volume was much higher than anticipated and M+M thought they had to capitalize.
Pretty shady business practices if you ask me. Unfortunately for now I'm out. Maybe even permanently if price is pushed higher.
Like I said, Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I really don't understand how :
A : Wanstalls offered a product at a certain price which according to M+M was "unauthorized"
B : Wanstalls also assured everyone there were no pre order limit on the amount of rifles available.
C: Now M+M comes out saying all this pricing was never finalized for the Canadian market plus they didn't have an exclusive dealer set up in Canada.

Something is just not sitting well with all of this .
I have my own opinions on this but I will keep those to myself and see how all this pans out .

Whatever the dealer price may be, the margin on $1450 was good enough that this price was offered. Any price increase will obviously be to increase profits further and it will be interesting to see how much they'll try to push this and how much people will tolerate. I think the whole roll out was poorly done and I could see people tolerate maybe a $50 increase but my guess anything more will piss people off. I kind of want to see the drama that results from a price close to 2k.

I think Wanstalls was likely cut off by M + M when either Canada Ammo freaked out or M + M felt they could gouge us more, likely a combination of both. I think Wanstalls will soak it up and honor the current preorder price. Since Canada Ammo claimed they will have the lowest price I think the best they can do is maintain Wanstalls perorder price.

If Wanstalls offered a price below what M+M authorized, M+M would be smart to never ship them any rifles or they will be facing a lot of backlash from their other authorised retailers in Canada and the USA for allowing them to undercut the rest of the supply chain.

A pretty succinct view of the situation that mirrors my own impressions. The only potential problem right now is that CanAm is saying they'll have the lowest "Market Price" which can technically be true at 1799.99 if M+M & our Canadian distributors agree to a handsome $1800 MSRP to make sure their profit / NR Tax is collected despite promising the lowest price when Wanstalls was offering their $1450 price point.

I suspect a significant amount of the interest for the M10X will subside should the release of a significant markup from the original pre-order price were to come to fruition. Curious to see how M+M chooses to handle this. In the meantime I'm keeping an eye on IRG should they choose to treat the M10X like a G19 in which they purchase the standard version US side, swap the barrels to make it compliant and ship em over now that it's been deemed NR while selling the 16" barrel to anyone who wants it.

Our only input on the pricing is to lower it.

Agree.. M+M won't ship Wanstall's any product

Wanstalls wouldn’t operate like that by opening preorder thread without confirming with M+M on a set price.

They deal with WC and so many other high end makers and wouldn’t do anything shady in my opinion.

Once again I have my opinion and will keep it to myself lol

Not to be rude, but you claim you were given "exclusive distributorship in Canada" M+M is saying that was never the case. So someone is clearly lying here, and the ones that stand to lose from all this is the ones that pre-ordered in good faith and Wantsalls

I don’t get it, care to explain?
did you read their post?

Official Press Release | OCTOBER 10th 2017
We are pleased to announce that the M10X has been classified by the RCMP as a Non-restricted firearm.
With the excitement of the news, there has been some misinformation and inappropriate pricing put forth regarding the M10X rifle within Canada.
We would like to apologize for any confusion this may have caused. M+M has not approved any dealers to take pre-orders.
At this time we are working with our partners to determine final MSRP pricing for the Canadian specific product.
Due to variations in specifications for the M10X Canadian model, we are currently working on our production timelines and availability.
As soon as this is determined we will release the information.
We want to thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm with respect to our new M10X product for the Canadian market.

I did read their post but why the frack they posted it today after chit hit the fan? I think I can guess..

takes time for them to find out what happened and respond accordingly.........or do you think they have a crystal ball and know what price someone is going to post before they actually post it?

Yes, as stated in our thread (which was not deleted BTW, just locked until we have info from M+M)

And heavily sanitized. All my posts that quoted you were nuked along with the stuff you deleted, if we are being honest here. Not sure who else's posts were also nuked?
