Ontario Transfer Wait Times?

I'm at 6 weeks for a private transfer and 2 weeks from a business. Ontario is the most PATHETIC province ......................

That is crazy!! 6 weeks!!
I think we should send letters to the ombudsman,
Don't know if that will help but even two weeks is way to long in my opinion.
If both parties have called in and are both verified as licence holders then is should go through right away.
Imagin the public outcry if people had to wait two weeks to get a car registered in their name.

finally received mine (private transfer to ON new owner):

initiated Sep 5th, Processed and received by email today, Sep 21st

not sure if it matters, but the address of the "slow" CFO is at ORILLIA, ON

Similar 2 week here too, got the email notice Tuesday that it was all set for a 357 transfer. compared to my first transfers in april (6 weeks), 2 weeks was great news....

My transfer from Sept 5th just cleared this afternoon. Gave me just shy of an hour to get to the store to pick it up before they closed lol. And of course I get to the gun store and get talked into putting a deposit on a rifle (NR this time) lol. So 12 business days total. I have had them done in as little as 4 but the usual is at least 2 full weeks. My brother was close to a month on his first restricted from a business.

I called yesterday (Sept 21) and they were working on transfers from the 6th. I purchased my MPX on the 7th so the transfer notice should be issued today....fingers crossed.

I'm beginning to think that the Ontario CFO uses eeny-meeny-miney-mo to decide what transfers that they are going to work on. The transfer for the AR that I purchased on the 7th has been approved but I'm still waiting on the transfers for the 2 handguns I ordered on the 1st.

Phoned the CFO today. Very pleasant lady completed the transfer over the phone (14 days - 1 day for the holiday = 13 days). I win. If you get yours today you win since yours was initiated a day after mine. I think I cheated a little by phoning though.
